About Me

My photo
I graduated from the University of Cincinnati in June 2009. I began my wonderful career teaching first grade shortly thereafter, in August 2009. In June 2016, I completed my Masters with the focus in Reading grades K-6th. This will be my 14th year utilizing a blog and hope that it will provide parents with another avenue to view their child's accomplishments throughout the school year.

What We Have Been Doing

I want to thank all of the parents for helping out their child with the whole class Google Meet on Friday!  It was great to see and hear from everyone at once, but I know it took a bit longer than I thought.  We will be doing 2 sessions on Monday for a Make a Word lesson; I'm looking very forward to that!  Here are some photos from Friday and this weekend:

I hope everyone has been enjoying this wonderful weekend weather!

The Delay with Reds Opening Day

One thing I'm sure many have figured out is that I LOVE rooting for our local sports teams.  Even though Opening Day is delayed, I still wanted to show my team spirit!  Another student showed his spirit too!
This student is working hard on her Math problems!

I hope everyone enjoyed the beautiful day yesterday!

Hanging Out

It was so wonderful to 'see' students yesterday during our Google Hangout sessions!  I am so grateful to parents and grandparents for supporting this event.  We had 6 hangouts throughout the day and I was able to remember to take photos during 3 of them...some things never change.
Here are some photos from yesterday:

One Family's Update

I received a few rounds of photos from one of our families and decided I'll just share them all with you here in this one post.  Like many of you, they are trying to find ways to manage through this time the best way that they can.  Our kids are so fortunate to have such amazing parents, like all of you, caring for them.  Here are some photos from one of our students (and one of my former students):
Staying Busy, Active, and Connecting with Nature

Acts of Kindness
Writing Positive Messages for Neighbors to See

Hope these brought some smiles to faces like it did my own!

Take care and keep those photos coming!
