I graduated from the University of Cincinnati in June 2009. I began my wonderful career teaching first grade shortly thereafter, in August 2009. In June 2016, I completed my Masters with the focus in Reading grades K-6th. This will be my 14th year utilizing a blog and hope that it will provide parents with another avenue to view their child's accomplishments throughout the school year.

Winter Party

I hope that everyone is enjoying their winter break!  It sure feels good to unwind and spend quality time with friends and family.  Since we have another snowy day, I figured I better upload some photos from our last week at school before break.  Seeing their precious faces just makes me miss them even more! :)

Polar Express

Wow, what a week!  We worked hard on choosing one attribute of an object as we played Guess My Rule, we traveled to three countries, and we took a magical ride on the Polar Express!  Here are a few photos from our week:

Celebrations Around the World & Grinch Day

Oh, how I love this time of year!  Even though it can get pretty tiring and hectic, it is so worth all of the connections and wonderful memories we create!  For two weeks, our first grade classrooms teach about a country's traditions, food, language, and more.  This past week, students traveled to Germany with me, Mexico with Mrs. DeLotell, and Australia with Mr. Holden.  Our class was fortunate to have one of our student's dad, who was born and raised in Germany, provide us with a wonderful presentation!!!  On Friday, we had lots of fun for Grinch Day.  Here are some photos from our wonderful week:
