Lots of Measuring!

It was wonderful to finally have a full week of school!  We had a great week measuring fish and tapes in our classroom as well as finishing up our solids and liquids unit and discussed the life of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.  Here are some photos I took from our past week:

It is so important for us to set a goal and write it down.

Having the goals posted in the classroom, will also help students remember what they wrote to help them achieve their goal.  Please ask your child about their goal and what they can do to achieve it.

Getting Back to Our Routine

Well, Mother Nature sure is making it difficult for us to get back to our regular routines!  The students have done a great job handling all of the disruptions that have been thrown at us this past week.  I had to chuckle when I realized that I had taken more photos during our 5-hour week than I did during our 3-day week.  I think I struggle more than the students at dealing with an unsettled schedule. :)  Here's to hoping Mother Nature has cooled her jets for awhile!

5-Hour School Week

Well, Mother Nature gave us a little longer winter break.  We did, however, get five hours of school in for the week.  Here are a few photos from that day:

Currently, it's the 4th quarter and we are down by 10.  I still am holding out hope.
