Locks of Love

Normally my posts and photos are all from our classroom activities.  I just cannot pass upon the opportunity to give a shout out to two girls who were so generous and donated their hair to Locks of Love.  What a wonderful, selfless, and caring thing to do!  Here are some photos of their experience as well as from our week in room 105.

Getting in the Groove

There are so many adjustments for students when they start first grade.  I am beginning to notice that we all have begun to get used to the longer day, later lunch, daily routines, and expectations in our first grade class.  They have matured so much during these first 50 days of school!

Conferences, and Assemblies, and Halloween, Oh My!

Whew, there were many, many things on our schedule last week!  It was wonderful meeting with all of you during our conference nights.  It never ceases to amaze me after meeting the amazing parents we have at Boyd, how great kids come from great parents!  I did manage to snap a few photos of some of our week:
