Great App

I am so grateful that I was able to bring home the iPad the PTO purchased for the summer.  I have been searching for new apps to use during the upcoming school year.  For those of you that have an iPad, iPhone, or iPod, I highly recommend you download Apps Gone Free.  Each day, there is a list of 5-6 apps that are free.  Scott explained the reasoning to me...he said that companies will offer their app for free for one day with the hopes of either gaining a larger audience who will in turn give them a 5-star rating and/or let people know that their app even exists.  The apps that I have found normally cost anywhere from $.99 to $9.99!

Summer Science

Summer Work

I hope that everyone is enjoying their summer!  It has been wonderful spending some quality family time.  I don't know how many of you (parents) will be checking out the blog, but I found a wonderful resource for your first grader (really second grader) to work on this summer.  I have bought quite a few units from this first grade teacher, so I know that she provides quality work.  You will need to create an account (free) on www.teacherspayteachers.com.  The packet is only $5, well worth the money!

Summer Has Officially Begun!

I finished the closing down/move of the classroom today! Yippee! Next school year, I will be set up in the classroom across the hall - room 105. The extra time and work it takes to change classrooms will definitely be worth it. It was such a wonderful school year this past year - super students and fabulous families! I am forever grateful for you all!!! I hope everyone has a safe and fun summer!
