About Me

My photo
I graduated from the University of Cincinnati in June 2009. I began my wonderful career teaching first grade shortly thereafter, in August 2009. In June 2016, I completed my Masters with the focus in Reading grades K-6th. This will be my 14th year utilizing a blog and hope that it will provide parents with another avenue to view their child's accomplishments throughout the school year.

A Second Grade Calendar Concert

The week before spring break was a lot of fun; unfortunately, I did not keep up with taking enough photos along the way.  The one event that we thoroughly enjoyed was watching the 2nd graders dress rehearsal!  Here are some photos from our week:

Pirate Mark & COSI

We had another fun and interactive week in room 103.  Students generated -ar words for their Pirate Mark craft, they explored ecosystems during the COSI visit, and they moved their bodies as they practiced skip counting.  Here are some photos from our week:

Field Trip #1

We had a fun-filled week this past week!  We enjoyed visiting with some of our 3rd graders as they presented their projects for the Curiosity Expo.  We also had a blast at Green Acres for our first of two field trips!  Here are some photos from our week:
