Reader's Theater and More

We had such a great week!  It was neat to watch all of the students develop as we worked on our Reader's Theater.  Some words they used to describe how they felt about themselves after their performance include:  "happy, awesome, great, excellent, popular" (one of my favorites).  Including performing our Reader's Theater, we read and completed follow up activities about Fairy Tales, finished our Literary Nonfiction unit, and worked with various patterns in Math.  Here are a few photos from our wonderful week:

A Little of This and a Little of That

Happy warm Sunday!  After having this wonderfully warm weekend, it is almost hard to believe that we just had our first snow day in two years this past Wednesday.  The title of my post pretty much sums up what we have been working on this past week:  Reader's Theater, Fairy Tales, Literary Nonfiction, Patterns, Homophones, and writing complete sentences.  Here are a few photos to show some of our work:

Happy Birthday, Dr. Seuss

If you haven't been told yet, March 2nd was Dr. Seuss' birthday.  We had such a great time reading so many of his whimsical books!  I took way too many photos this week...I will do my best to not make this post too long.
