Rain, Rain, Go Away!

We had another wonderful week!  Unfortunately, Mother Nature has not cooperated with our plans to go on our nature walk, so we are hoping that Monday afternoon will be rain free!  Fortunately, Mother Nature did not interfere with our plans to continue learning and using Literacy Stations.  Students have done fabulous work during this time, proving that they are capable of staying engaged in an activity while I meet with small groups during Guided Reading.

We also continued to practice using the stations we already learned.

On Friday, we had our Student of the Week share.

I am looking forward to another great week!

I'm a Bearcat at heart, but since my son is currently attending OU, part of me is turning into a Bobcat. 

Literacy Station Fun!

Students have been learning how to use Literacy Stations this week and have done a fabulous job following what they 'Can Do' at each station!  So far, we have learned what we can do in the ABC Station, Game Station, Buddy Reading Station, and Computer Station.

Our third Student of the Week!

Fun Filled Week

The students are beginning to feel comfortable with the morning and dismal routines.  Packing up the TURTLE binders have been challenging to some, but we'll get there!  :)

It is so important to take things slow in the beginning of the year, so when students are expected to work independently while I am working with small groups, they know exactly what to do.

Here are few things we did this week:

Great Start to the School Year!

It has been an exhaustively wonderful start to the new school year!  The students are quickly becoming familiar with the classroom routines and expectations.  They have also shown how well they like each other; which is a huge asset to their every day learning!  I am so excited to see all we will accomplish this upcoming school year!
