One of my favorite things we do in first-grade is mail out and receive 29 cards from around the country! We are able to use Google Earth to determine how many miles away and the direction we would travel to for each school. We will also find out the schools' average temperature in December. This past week, we made our holiday cards, wrote a letter to Santa, made a Santa craft, and began our measurement unit. Here are some photos from our week:
