About Me

My photo
I graduated from the University of Cincinnati in June 2009. I began my wonderful career teaching first grade shortly thereafter, in August 2009. In June 2016, I completed my Masters with the focus in Reading grades K-6th grade. This will be my seventh year utilizing a blog and hope that it will provide parents with another avenue to view their child's accomplishments throughout the school year.

We are off to a great start to the new year!  I am so looking forward to a great year with my new friends. :)
Once I receive all of the permission forms, I'll post some student photos; for now here are a couple before the first day.

Making Progress

I have been to the classroom a few days now and am beginning to feel pretty good about the progress.  Speaking of progress, I snapped a couple of photos of the progress being made on our new building.
I am so excited to watch the progress as it occurs this upcoming year!

I am also very much looking forward to meeting everyone and seeing some familiar faces next Tuesday, August 18th during Open Building anytime between 3pm-6pm! :)

Enjoy this last full week of summer!

Where did the summer go?

My apologies for being so quiet this summer!  In-between the many, many days of interviewing in June, I experienced a laptop mishap.  I am close to having everything transferred to my new laptop now, so I should be in good shape for the upcoming school year!  Even though more changes have occurred with our new building (I will snap some photos this week), this photo was taken by Mr. Savage in late June.
My awesome family helped me for a couple of hours in the classroom today and part of the new building is already up.  It will be an exciting year as the work continues.

I hope everyone is enjoying their summer!
I look forward to seeing everyone soon!
