About Me

My photo
I graduated from the University of Cincinnati in June 2009. I began my wonderful career teaching first grade shortly thereafter, in August 2009. In June 2016, I completed my Masters with the focus in Reading grades K-6th grade. This will be my sixth year utilizing a blog and hope that it will provide parents with another avenue to view their child's accomplishments throughout the school year.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

I guess I'm a little late with wishing you a Happy St. Patrick's Day.  After looking at the photos I took before spring break, I'm thinking maybe I should have posted these sooner.  It is crazy realizing we only have one more quarter of school! Hold on tight, we're in for a fun-filled ride!  Here are a few photos I took before break:

Five Whole Days of Learning!

It was wonderful to have five days uninterrupted by Mother Nature this past week.  We started our theme for Fairy Tales by reading different Cinderella stories from around the world.  We played games in Math related to finding missing numbers on our 120s charts.  We also wrote, revised, and edited a narrative.  Here are some photos from our week:

Wacky Week

Last week we had fun doing lots of readings and activities related to Dr. Seuss.  Have I mentioned that it is one of my favorite weeks to teach?  Here are some photos from our week:

Subtraction Fun

Last week was a rare 5 day week!  It's a no wonder we got so much accomplished and the students did a fabulous job taking care of themselves!  It is sounding like we could have another 5 day week this week too.  This 'winter storm' isn't looking like it will be all that is was promising earlier. :)  Here are some photos from our week:
