About Me

My photo
I graduated from the University of Cincinnati in June 2009. I began my wonderful career teaching first grade shortly thereafter, in August 2009. In June 2016, I completed my Masters with the focus in Reading grades K-6th grade. This will be my seventh year utilizing a blog and hope that it will provide parents with another avenue to view their child's accomplishments throughout the school year.

Happy Thanksgiving

I hope everyone enjoyed their Thanksgiving!  We sure had a blast cramming in a bunch of fun the two days before break:
Making Placemats
Officer Skip
 Room 105 Pilgrims
Making Butter
 Pages from our Class Book

We read this book and then made a wanted sign for the turkey in disguise.
Working on our Native American Writing & Craft
They turned out so cute and the students did a great job!

Snow Day?

Who would have predicted that we would have a snow day in mid November?  The students did a great job (as usual) adjusting to our shortened week.  Here are a few photos from this past week:
How Big Are Our Feet?
After tracing the outline of our shoes, we filled in the area with color tiles, counted them, sorted, and grouped them.
Counting Strips
How high can we write our numbers?
We read a Native American Tale, The Raven.
Then, we made a class book.
I could not get this to turn for the life of me, but it was too cute not to post! :)
