I hope that you have been enjoying your summer as much as I have! I've sent a couple of emails about the Scholastic Summer Reading Challenge and it is wonderful to see how many minutes the students have already racked up. I came across something that I think would be very beneficial as well. The website is titled ScootPad. I created a class and assigned everyone a username & password. The username is your child's first and last name (no spaces) and the password is their student id (or lunch count #). The program uses lessons that are tied to the Common Core Standards. This past year, students were taught CC standards in Math. I have not yet done any of the Reading lessons, but am sure that the review will be extremely beneficial. The program is new to me as well, so I would absolutely LOVE any feedback from parents...either on the blog or through email.
Simply click on the ScootPad icon to the right of the blog and then click the Sign In button on the top right of the screen on their website.
