About Me

My photo
I graduated from the University of Cincinnati in June 2009. I began my wonderful career teaching first grade shortly thereafter, in August 2009. In June 2016, I completed my Masters with the focus in Reading grades K-6th grade. This will be my seventh year utilizing a blog and hope that it will provide parents with another avenue to view their child's accomplishments throughout the school year.

October has proven to be a fabulous month!  I cannot believe how fast it is flying by!!
This past week, we finished our pattern unit in Writer's Workshop, begin a new unit in Math, and had a blast during our Harvest Celebration.  Here are some photos from our week:

Field Trip

It's official...my camera has puttered out! :(  I can use my iPhone, but the quality of the photos aren't as good and it doesn't have a flash.  So, until I can find a good camera at a great price, there won't be as many photos posted to the blog.

Moving to happier topics ~ we had a great time on our field trip yesterday!  Our bus drivers actually knew where they were going, the rain held off, and we sat in the front rows in the center of the theater!  I snapped some photos during lunch and in the theater before the show.  Of course without a flash, the photos inside the theater didn't take at all.  Here are a few of the photos:

Couldn't decide which one was the best...

Still a Reds Fan

By now, I'm sure you have figured out that I am a pretty big Cincinnati sports fan!  The Reds had such a great season and it seemed as if the post season was going to be just a great, but alas, it just wasn't meant to be.  We tried showing our support:

Oh well, there is always next season!

Even with the heartbreaking post season, we were able to have a great week inside the classroom!  My camera continues to be very temperamental, so some photos may be blurry or I may be posting less until Santa can bring me a new one! :)
